2012 in other film: in the air!

As an addendum to the last post, I also saw a bunch of films on planes in 2012.

My favourites were:

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World:
The world is going to end no matter what, and everyone on earth is dealing in their own way. Steve Carell and Keira Knightley star, and though I can’t stand her, she performs admirably in this.  Oddly heartbreaking!

Moonrise Kingdom:
It could have been twee and OTT and annoying, but it’s not. It’s damn charming, with an excellent soundtrack and a cast that give everything they have.

Fab. Made me proud of being… kinda Scottish! Great voice cast and an entertaining story.

Funny. But. Y’know. Juvenile.

Not so great:

We Bought A Zoo:
Cute.  Matt Damon.  But y’know, trite.

The Five Year Engagement:
Wanted to watch it. Fell asleep. I’m not sure if this was the hours and hours of flying, or the film.

Men in Black III:
Fell asleep. Again.

So. There’s alllll the films of the year!  Next post:  Goals for this year, sometime tomorrow.
